Watch as I drain and refill our 50 Gallon water heater. Always make certain that the power is off before draining an electric water heater because if you drain it with the power on you will ruin the elements.
A natural gas water heater is a different shutoff procedure probably covered in other videos.

The bottom cover was off in the video because thats where I made a tempurature adjustment.
I refer to the the Presure relief valve as a Thermal expansion valve by mistake. I was thinking thermal expansion tank for some reason.

Now that natural gas prices and propane prices have shot up, the hot story for consumers is the tankless water heaters. If you are considering purchasing a new water heater, you should consider the tankless models.

Sure most people wait for the old one to go-out before they drive down to Home Depot or Lowes to shop for a water heater, but you could begin saving money immediately with these new heaters.
