Hot Water heater timer to save electric. DIY green project
Hot Water heater timer to save electric. DIY green project. I hope you enjoy this video, I have some serious power bills here in Kissimmee Florida and the hot water heater is one of the biggest electric / power consumer appliances in a home.. This is an easy DIY power saving power project. My water heater is 220 volt AC and I got the timer from homedepot and its variable from 110 to 220 volt With my timer set my hot water heater will only run the hours I need it! So im going from 24 / 7 to about 8-9 hours per day. That's over 50% savings on the power for my water heater by installing this simple timer. If you have any other ideas to save electric please comment or email me. Stay tuned for my up and coming power savings DIY videos. All the best, -Pete Mixcat.com mixcatcom
