just bought an electric tankless water heater. We can’t seem to get hot water . Does anyone know about these.

We hooked it up but no hot water . The water pressure is good.
Double check your connections, the wire size(what is the voltage rating?), the circuit breaker, is it grounded. My experience with these things, it is usually not enough water pressure. It uses the pressure to heat the water. GoodLuck

Apparently it is not getting power. Check the circuit breaker.

do you have a 220 volt or a 110 going into the box? that’s about all the info i know you have to have in order for them to work properly, because we were going to get one, and they said we would have to re-wire the fuse box first.

Check all the electrical connections. Contact the place you bought it from and ask if there are any common problems you can check for.

make sure your getting eletric to the unit/try tripping the breaker

Is it plugged in? The water heater will have to be on it’s own circuit (and it may require 220V). Check your circuit box to see if the switch is thrown (or fuse blown).

Did you check the switch in breaker box?

A manufacture/model would be helpful.
Are the water lines backwards? Yes it would probably be capable of heating backwards, but if it uses a flow switch to energize, reverse flow might not engage the switch… might even have a safety device to stop operation in case of backflow.

yeah i know enough about them that i would never recommend one to anybody. they suck up almost as much power a regular water heater in 1/4 the time. my company only installs rinnai tankless gas or LP

I order for the Electric Tank less Water Heather to work; the hot and cold lines must be connected right. If it requires 220V, 10/3 wire and a 2pole 30A circuit breaker is needed. The electric water heather should be the only thing on this circuit.
